Retro-X® retrievable aeration technology
Retro-X® utilizes an aeration hose with a specially formulated membrane and perforation technology. Under low airflow conditions, it generates small, slow-rising bubbles, significantly improving oxygen transfer efficiency (≥45%). Its low-resistance design and adjustable support system enable long-distance airflow transmission. The linear aeration pattern ensures uniform air distribution and mixing, achieving high oxygen utilization and energy efficiency. With excellent tear-resistance, oil resistance, and acid/alkali durability, the system maintains long-term stable performance. In municipal wastewater applications, it offers a comprehensive service life of over 10 years, and in industrial wastewater scenarios, its lifespan exceeds 8 years.

Retrievable Installation
With unique product design and product accessories, HINKTION Retro-X® revolutionizes the aeration system pipelines and retrievable installation way. When replacing the aeration tube, it only needs to untie the tension rope and the quick-installation joint on the air pipe. The aeration pipe can be pulled out from the bottom of the tank along the stabilizing device, and after replacement, it can be pulled back to its original position along the rope. It only takes about 15 minutes to complete. The innovation retrievable installation way enables the inspection and maintenance of aeration pipe with the whole system operate continuously.

Retro-X®‘self-cleaning’control system
The self-cleaning control system is a standard PLC-based program and component package integrated into the Retro-X® Unbeatable Aeration System.
The Retro-X® system utilizes PLC programming to control electric valves on distribution manifolds. Through periodic valve actuation, it modulates or shuts off airflow to specific manifold zones. By leveraging pressure differentials and valve switching mechanisms, the system creates airflow pulses that scour the surface of the aeration hoses, removing biofilm, sludge, or particulate buildup. This automated self-cleaning process ensures:
• No clogging or fouling on the hose surface.
• Consistent oxygen transfer efficiency (SOTE) and stable head loss over time.
